BABY SHOWER EDITORIAL
When we had the opportunity to work with Rachel Watts from Young Mummies again, we jumped at the chance! She is an exuberant example of a glowing pregnancy unicorn! Packed in a tiny package, but making up for it with her bubbly and vivacious personality, Rachel allowed us to throw her a gorgeous baby shower for her future little man. With the help of local vendors, OIP styled and coordinated the prettiest baby shower for beautiful Rachel.
Rachel was pampered by Frankie Salon on hair and makeup by Stephanie J MUA, and her dress was from Beyond Your Wardrobe. Nothing better than not having to worry about all those details on a day that an expecting mum should just be enjoying herself.
The baby shower was hosted at Fargo and Co. in Richmond, who also made some bump-friendly mocktails, especially for Rachel. Decked out with fresh florals and foliage by Foxy Evergreen, spelling in greenery "BABY" at the dessert table and also adorning fresh florals at the gift table. Come Fly With Me provided the all-white balloon arch and loose white mini white balloons for the dessert table and balloons cascading out of the gifting fireplace.
For An Angel Cake created not one, or two - but three giant cakes; neon yellow watercolour, double tiered, sprinkle with pink drip and pink and gold flecked with rock sugar shards. But not only that they also created the doughnut tower. Petite Cookies brought along her signature custom cookies and Suck at Parties provided floral chocolate pops and mini chocolate gems. Lactation Cookie Company doubled up her lactation cookies as a lactation cookie pyramid. All adorned with custom cake toppers by Communicake It, and they all sat atop cake stands and trays from Laa Laa Event Hire to really help celebrate Rachel celebrate.
After that all sweetness, it was time for Rachel to open up all the gifts that were presented to her. The Stork Nest provided linen and a comforter toy for bub from Lil' Fraser, a Nappy Caddy from Skip Hop, a beautiful baby carrier from Baby Tula and the Babycook Neo and silicon bowls, plates, cups and feeding spoons from Béaba. Blossom and Pear provided baby milestone cards and a pregnancy journal for Rachel to record all those precious memories. Speaking of memories, Smallprint provided customised jewellery that captures a baby's hand or footprint in the form of jewellery for mum and dad, so extremely sweet.
Moomoo Designs made the beautiful organic muslin wrap and nappy cake and Oioi provided the navy and white striped baby bag, backpack and change mat (for all those OCD matchy-matchy mums!) But we can't forget Rachel, she received some delicious lactation cookies from The Lactation Cookie Company as well as a beautiful acrylic box of fresh roses for her (well all of us really!) to marvel at from Bloom Blvd.
We hope that Rachel has an easy-going and beautiful birth for her next baby boy and can't wait to see all the antics of on Young Mummies! Happy Pushing Rach!
