BRIDE TO BE BRUNCH - OIP BRIDAL SHOWER EDITORIAL

After Sam (Calu) & Aston's epic proposal on Valentine's Day, it was only fitting to get the ball rolling and time for her gal-pals (Ruby, Iffy & Jo) to organise her the bridal shower of the year!

The first thing her beautiful bridal party had to do was to find the perfect venue, which they found at MEZZ Chadstone. It had personality, natural light and delectable cocktails to go around! It was the perfect fit for this special lady and her best of friends.

Another great point about the venue was that it required minimal work, just needed the help of Moonshot Balloons to bring that Va-va-voom factor with the gorgeous balloon garland in pale dogwood pink and pops of evergreen were the perfect yet simple match made in bridal shower heaven! Also provided is a crowd favourite, the jumbo's in pink and white! Dressed meticulously within the balloons lived beautiful fresh botanics from Botanics of Melbourne, in a variety of florals including hydrangeas, leather-leafs, star of Bethlehem's and of course- roses! Also provided was the cascading flower centrepiece, which definitely was a show stopper! And even a floral and foliage garland to decorate the dessert tables and jumbo balloons.

Speaking of delectable desserts, they were deliciously hand made by Taylor Made Gourmet, which really brought everything to a whole new SWEETER level! She provided a whole array of sweets; the rectangular pink drip cake, a 2 tiered tropical leaf print cake, cake popsicles, oval shaped hand painted leaf cookies, biscuit filled meringue kisses, pink cheesecakes donned with fresh fruit, and large macarons filled with cream and fruit! Wow, just reading all that gave us sweet sweet calories.

Now let's not forget about the real sweetheart of the day and her fine ladies to accompany her on such a exciting celebration! Sam was spoiled with professional make up and hair supplied by AB Hair and Make Up, who also worked their magic on Sam's beautiful bridal party. She was also dressed in a classy Alex Perry number from My Runway AU, who also dressed the maids in matching Zimmermann pieces to go with the tropical and floral theme. And obviously, we can't have a bridal shower without the fun and cute gimmicks; sashes, games, acrylic drink stirrers, acrylic palm leaf cut outs, acrylic invitation and stationary and Bride headband all supplied by Whimsy Chuffed!

Sam was incredibly thankful that her besties were able to arrange such an amazing set up, she knew she had to get them something special to make sure they knew how much she appreciated them. Matching robes from Posy Robes and some quality insulated fruit and tea flasks from Made by Fressko were gifted to her bride tribe. But the true gift of the day, was to be able to celebrate Sam's milestone of becoming a BRIDE TO BE!
