With an event-styling obsessed mama, little Madeline was destined to have her first year of life be celebrated with the most stylish soirée you could ask for.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, OMG Ness Styling along with her favourite kiwi creatives and New Zealand based suppliers, teamed up to transform the birthday bub's every day happy place into Madeline Springs!
Ness says that she loved that she could “bring in this incredible gang of boss babes and local businesses to all do our thang and create some magic!” Yay for
collaboration over competition, as she says!
The event oozed pink and palm vibes, with soft touches of blush and greenery galore. Eagerly awaiting the opportunity, Ness was thrilled to finally use her beloved kids ghost chairs, featured at the table. Ghost chairs are a great way to keep the focus on other design elements, as the eye naturally falls to the tablescape.
The desserts included not one but
three palm springs designed cakes, the Cake Smash cake by Buttercream Cakery, the two-tier Muva cake by Our Little Kitchen Co, and the mini semi-naked cake by Courtney Lee Cakery, which accompanised some cute personalised cookies and other sweets.
The gorgeous gals were dressed in all white, with the birthday girl also donning a gorgeous fresh floral crown, like the tropical princess she was!
For Ness, balloon styling is always her signature focal point to any event she creates, and this celebration was no different! And we’ve got to agree with her! We adore this pink balloon installation, contrasted beautifully against the touch of fresh palms!
Other striking elements include the Tropical Wall backdrop by The Flower Wall NZ and the Perspex hand-drawn sign by Number Nine Design. Absolutely stunning!
The birthday babe was said to be a little tired and cranky from all the excitement by the time it was photo time, yet the talented Emma from The Uhila Collective, still managed to capture lots of gorgeous moments, including a cash smash and a milk bath!
