Spring has well and truly sprung and it has brought with it days of frivolity in the sunshine, a few cheeky bubblies and, of course, the race that stops the nation-The Spring Racing Carnival.
Well, we are ready to Whip It-Whip It Real Good and share with you today some fabulous Spring Racing Carnival inspiration from yours truly,(with a cheeky twist!).
While for many, Spring Racing is a beautiful opportunity to be merry and share with the people you love most, there is trouble in paradise for two of our young lovers ;)
At first glance, things may seem peachy but there is more than meets the eye... so buckle yourself in for the glitz and glamour, and the devilish scandal that accompanies it!
With the help of our gorgeous models: Bridget (Ann), Callum (Rick), Calu (Jackie), Maria (Steph), and Toby (David)-we wanted to create an OIP Spring Editorial that was not only fabulous but also fun and playful.
Set at The Geelong Carousel, the place was decked to the nines in baked goodies from local wonder women bakers, Love It Cakes, some cute cookies from Vickie Liu and fab' floristry from Vivid and Co.
The furniture, by Memphis Hire, tied together everything magnificently, and we especially adored our Bubbly Bar, featuring signage from Sketch and Etch and the oh-so-sleek and races perfect, Posh Plonk Wine.
The balloons, by Belle Balloons, added that extra perfect touch, balancing simplicity with the "Whip It" in gold vinyl writing.
All of the models had their hair styled at Momu Makeup and Hair , and Cherie Green Makeup Artistry worked her magic on the blonde "temptress" Calu and Toby. Angeline Tuazon Makeup on the beautiful Bridget and Callum and Maria did her own. They all used Tarte and Benefit makeup products.
Kitte embellished our lovely ladies with elegant fascinators and earrings. Expert nailists Seepair and Brad decorated the girls' nails. Their enviable shoes were provided by Jo Mercer Shoes, and our gorgeous gals' threads by Seagulls of St Kilda. The handsome gents had Joe Black suits.
