Juliette from CW Events has been Sheltering in Place for 9 weeks now and as an event planner, not being able to throw events and create has been super hard for her. So for Mother’s Day, they decided to throw themselves a tea party at home!
Thanks to modern technology, everything was ordered online and either delivered or picked up without even having to see any of the vendors. Juliette Face Timed one of the vendors to talk about the color choices for the ribbons and that was the closest to an in-person meeting that she did! For this party, they decided to drape the ceiling with chiffon and ribbons to create a romantic vibe. They styled the table with a large and small flower arrangements to create dimension and used a long runner to enhance the table. For the desserts and treats, they chose colors that would compliment the Royal Albert tea cups that were mainly light pastel hues. Juliette has been collecting teacups for the past 4 years so it felt nice for her to break some of them out for this special occasion.
Transforming their living room space into a tea party filled with flowers and pretty china was really was so nourishing for the soul. At times like this, surrounding yourself with beautiful colors and delicious treats is necessary!
