OIP BRIDAL EDITORIAL: SAM & ASTON'S NUPTIALS

THE VENUE

After following Sam (Calu Florentine) and Aston's (Shane Holloway) whirlwind romance from Christmas, we can finally reveal to you their beautiful nuptials at arguably one of the most picturesque backdrops in Country Victoria, Sault Restaurant in Daylesford. Where you can find in Summer, rows upon rows of gorgeous lavender fields, whilst in the backdrop lives a beautiful barn chapel which is labour of love from owners Jodi Flockhart and Damien Aylward (who also wed at this glorious venue! But that's a love story for another time) and behind the barn is the glistening lake that is incredibly breathtaking.

THE DETAILS

Sam herself wore the beautiful Sage gown from Emmy Mae Bridal, dressed with diamond jewellery from Diamond Exchange and shoes from Merchant 1948. Aston's attire and accessories was from Déclic, watch from Mr Wolfe Watches and skincare for the day was from Charles + Lee. Aston's shoes were also from Merchant 1948. Both the bride and groom's hair and make up was meticulously done by Holly Harnwell Make Up through The Future MRS.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was adorned with rows of provincial crossback chairs from Trove Hire, that led to the custom designed floral backdrop created by Sassybird Flowers, who incorporated a mixture of lical blossoms, anemones, natives, foliage and beautiful pampas grass all fixated onto a custom copper wire arbour. Sassybird Flowers also made the beautiful bouquet and table setting flowers with the same combination, with the exquisite addition of white chrysanthemums and dusty pink roses.

THE LUNCHEON

After exchanging their vows, the couple then moved over to have their delicious food set up at the gorgeous table that was put together by our team. With the help of Trove Hire for the provincial crossback chairs, Event Art for their table decor and linen, stationery from State of Elliott, personalised agate name placards from September Creative, florals from Sassybird Flowers and a variety of crystals from Crystal Universe Melbourne - we were able to put together some magic on their gorgeous bridal table.

THE SWEETS

After indulging their culinary senses in the tapas created by Head chef Peter Knibb from Sault, the couple then moved on over to the ever so sweet (like their love) dessert table! With the creations of macarons, bitesized cupcakes and cake pops from Bella Sweets, meringue wreaths from Loryn Loves, donut stacks, chocolate gems and chocolate dipped strawberries from Chocolate No. 5, the heart cookie cakes from I'll Bring Cake and lastly but not at all least, the two tiered crystal inspired square wedding cake, and the three mini cakes to match from Blackbird Cakes. All the cake stands and linen was supplied by Event Decor and decorated with crystals from Crystal Universe Melbourne.

THE BUBBLY

After getting drunk on love and sweets, it was time to move on over to the champagne bar van supplied by the cutest vendor, Benny and Co., the mobile bar van at your service! The champagne tower was set up on the bar cart supplied by Trove Hire and also in the champagne bath tub supplied by Trove Hire. Most importantly though, was the champagne that was supplied by Posh Plonk! What better way to celebrate than to saber the champagne!

THE MAGIC

The magical day and love between these two love birds was captured by Jay of Qlix Photography on good old fashioned film, and it was a beautiful day filled with beautiful moments captured by this talented photographer. All in all, the two were incredibly excited to start the new chapter of their lives! To Sam & Aston!
