Here's what Yolanda had to say about styling and planning this party; This Queen of Hearts bridal shower was a surprise event organised by the bride's mother and younger sister. The client requested an opulent tea party fit for a queen. The event was hosted at the family home and the formal sitting room was transformed into a royal gala. In keeping with the mad hatters theme, the dessert table was styled haphazardly and was adorned with ornate tea sets. A black candelabra and a jumbo queen of hearts chess piece made for a dramatic centrepiece. The desserts featured a variety of love hearts, including intricate sugar veil cookies and heart shaped cake pops. The bride was overwhelmed by the surprise event and even more so when she was presented with an elaborate crown and throne to sit on. The queen and her guests enjoyed the afternoon sipping tea and indulging in a great selection of decadent treats.
