When Thanh of Sweet Event Styling's nephew turned one, she decided to surprise her brother and sister in law with a breathtaking dessert table. Designed and styled to perfection (with the help of some incredibly talented vendors) for the chosen theme Under the Sea - I don't think even King Triton would be able to resist a treat.
Thanhs design chops are so remarkable that she even made a underwater scene look perfectly in place at a park surrounded by native bushland, using moments of green in the foreground to seamlessly tie in the background. And how amazing is that balloon arch?!
Thanh speaks of the event. 'My sister in law chose an Under the Sea theme because of my nephews love of water, and came to me for a cake recommendation. She wasn't interested in a dessert table or styling by me, because my family always want me to enjoy the celebration - rather than feeling like I'm working it.
I'm usually very grateful for this, but couldn't help surprising them with this small "Under the Sea" cake table on the day of the event. Because the celebration was being held outdoors, I planned the set up around the park backdrop - incorporating a balloon arch using shades of blue and clear balloons to create a bubble effect. I'm so happy with the outcome and opportunity to create something special and memorable for my family.'
