DIY PAINTED PARTY DISHES

If you are like me, you have an over abundance of white serving platters. So, I am always looking for fun ways to add some colour to coordinate with the party I am planning. That is when I came up with the idea to "paint" my dishes. It is easy, fun, and can easily be matched to any party decor!

What you will need:
White serving dish
Coloured white chocolate
Pastry brush
Microwavable bowl
First, place your coloured white chocolate in the microwavable bowl. According to the directions on the chocolate, microwave the chocolate until it is melted. I put mine in the microwave for a minute at a time, stirring after each minute.

Next, once your chocolate is all melted, dip the pastry brush into the chocolate and use it as the paint to paint onto your serving platters.
Continue to paint as little or as much as you like. If you ever mess up, or want to try again, simply run the platter under hot water to melt the chocolate off. Just be sure that your platter is completely dry before painting.

The great thing about this DIY, is that it is completely food safe! You can put your treats and cakes directly on the painted platter without needing to worry.
