DIY RECIPE: SPRINKLE CHOC CHIP COOKIE BONBONNIERE

Bonbonniere. Does anyone know how to pronounce it?! Finding that perfect gift for your wedding guests can be so difficult! It is the cherry on top of the perfect wedding ice cream sundae, so you want to make sure it's memorable. But, never fear, we’ve got you covered with the most perfect DIY bonbonniere: Sprinkle. Choc Chip. Cookie. Mix. Useful, delicious, cute and edible - all the hallmarks of a good bonbonniere.

Your guests can take home a cute jar, with custom label and recipe attached, to indulge in some post-wedding baking. Once they try these warm, gooey cookies, they’ll never forget you.

Sprinkle Choc Chip Cookie Mix

Ingredients

150g plain flour

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp Salt

50 g caster sugar

50g brown sugar

2 tbsp sprinkles

100g chocolate chips (or more – we don’t judge!)

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the plain flour, salt and baking powder.
  2. Layer ingredients into jar in the following order: flour, brown sugar, caster sugar, chocolate chips.
  3. Decorate jar to your heart’s content.

For these DELICIOUS cookies, you’ll need one egg and 125g butter.

Preheat oven to 180?C. Line two oven trays with baking paper. Cream butter and egg together until creamy and fluffy. Add dry cookie mix and beat on low speed until just combined. Scoop tablespoons on dough onto the lined baking trays. Bake for 6-9 minutes, or until golden. Remove from tray. Best eaten warm and in enormous quantities!
