CELEBRATE WITH CHYKA THIS MOTHER'S DAY!
We were incredibly lucky this year to meet Chyka Keebaugh, who now at 49 is recognised as Australia’s favourite homemaker. Chyka has accomplished a handful of jam-packed successful careers; co-founder of The Big Group, The Design Depot and Capital Kitchen, ex-star on RHOM and now recently author of her first book Chyka Home. However, Chyka’s true passion has always been her home and her family, and being a mother to her two kids, Chessie, aged 23 and BK, aged 22. We knew we just had to be around this positivity and soak in the magic of the Chyka Unicorn!

But for once, it’s what’s on the outside that counts, and outside in Chyka’s beautiful backyard, we styled her outdoor setting and completely transformed the backyard setting into something “unrecognisable” according to Chyka herself. The massive pink balloon garland from the girls of Poppies for Grace consisted of a multitude of teeny tiny itty bitty little balloons to super duper jumbos definitely packed a statement and made the shoot. Coupled with custom signage, charger plates, wine swizzlers and cake toppers from the talented Sketch and Etch all in dusty cedar and gold.

To contrast the charger plates, we have also teamed them with gorgeous crockery and cutlery from Mizami Hire, stunning floral arrangements from The Posy Story and exquisite table candles tea lights, lanterns, and a gift set from Dusk.

As well as enjoying the aromas of the tea from Deitea, Chyka also embraced the ambience set by the candles and diffusers from Mrs Darcy. Chyka also received Mothers Day Gifts from one of our favourite brands The Daily Edited a gorgeous pink jewellery box, taupe box clutch bag, pale pink large heart keyring and phone cases all personalised with Chyka's initials.
The desserts were out of this world thanks to Natalie from Seed & Coat providing doughnuts, chocolate coated strawberries, cookies and chocolates and Andrea from A.T Bakes providing the three-tiered ombré buttercream number as well as the mini cakes to match with edible blooms. But to really bring our dessert table to life was the custom signage for our Posh Plonk "mum-osa" bar, which served both sparkling wine and red wine (winners all round!)

All in all, Chyka, thanks for letting us invade your space, running amuck with decorations, desserts and pure fun and mayhem! We also interviewed Chyka for some wise words for the modern-day boss mums, which we would be publishing next week! Watch this space!
