OIP'S DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS

Now that it's the beginning of Christmas season; where all the department stores play Mariah Carey's Christmas album on repeat, where there's Elf on the Shelf on every shelf possible doing hilarious poses, and of course it'll only be fitting to show you our second Christmas Styled Shoot for 2018! This time around, we decided that it would be a beautiful contrast to show you how people in the Northern Hemisphere could inspire us to celebrate Christmas in Melbourne. Although it isn't summery like our Summer Christmas Shoot with Chelsea Thomas from I Heart Bargains, it sure brings the magic that Christmas is all about; being themed around "Dreaming of a White Christmas" - cue Bing Crosby breaking into song here!

THE TALENT

This year we knew we had to celebrate our Christmas shoot with our favourite mama Sandi and her two gorgeous girls from Kids Fashion Blogger! Sandi opted for two gorgeous outfits, a white number (how is this mama 50!? She looks AMAZING!) by Kianna and a red number that she supplied herself, but who can forget Gigi and Bella, who wore Little Hearts Co. and shoes from Clarks Australia. They were also treated to hair and makeup (for Sandi only as the girls certainly don't need it!) from Blush Bar in Geelong. They looked a treat and ready to take on this mistletoe season!

THE SETUP

With a massive joint effort from Make It Pretty, who set up the epic all white balloon installation, as well as the silver foil mylar balloon garland, intertwined with the neon sign from Sketch & Etch Neon that read "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" (cue the Christmas classic Andy Williams here!) and it is, isn't it!? Underneath the magical neon sign was the curve bar supplied by Memphis Hire, who also provided the Dining Table and Chairs formal set up, the Lounge set and coffee table set up as well. Lustre Blooms provided greenery and white blooms to intricately tie in all the beautiful details. Sketch & Etch also provided the custom-made arch signage that read "May your Days be Merry and Bright" and custom designed Christmas wreath, stemless cocktail discs and snowflake napkin rings. The Event Merchant Co. provided us with gorgeous tableware, crockery, charger plates, glassware, napkins and cutlery. And our friends at Dusk provided us yet again the most beautiful selection of candles, table accessories and the Botanical MoodMist Diffuser to bring it all to life! Grazing by T supplied delicious seafood and grazing selections for Sandi and her girls to enjoy. These amazing vendors certainly transformed The Warehouse Geelong into a White Christmas dream.

THE DESSERTS

Now we can't forget the best part of Christmas food, the desserts! Love It Cakes brings the WOW factor again with their enormous take on the same gingerbread house from our Summer shoot, with this creative concept in mind. The lovely ladies also made a world first, you saw it here first - STAND UP CHRISTMAS TREE COOKIE CAKE! Seriously too good! And if those two creations weren't impressive enough, they also meticulously created Christmas cookies, iced dusted donuts, the meringue Christmas tree tower and snow globe mini gingerbread desserts. But if you prefer a more classic take on Christmas treats, we have you covered there too thanks to our friends at Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses who provided their limited edition Christmas range, that can double up as gifting options too for the food lovers out there. There were Christmas puddings, fruit mince pies, gingerbread people, butter finger biscuits and cream and jam biscuits. It was all so pretty and delicious looking! Thanks to Make It Pretty who also supplied her impressive collection of white cake stands for us to showcase all these delectable treats on.

THE GIFTS

Finally, let's not forget what Christmas is all about - the gift of giving to loved ones and spending that quality time together. Our Christmas Lights Christmas tree from Dusk was the perfect modern tree to sit under as they unwrapped gifts and exchanged laughter and joy. The girls were treated with fun and sustainable gifts from Make Me Iconic; a wooden rainbow puzzle, the iconic red Australia Post box (so they can send letters to Santa for that last minute request!) but Sandi also got a treat from Make Me Iconic, receiving a beautiful clutch as a gift as well! Sack Me provided the modern take on Santa sacks and stockings to fill with goodies for the girls this year as well, these are classic and timeless pieces and can be used for years on end! Dusk also provided a selection of beautiful candles and diffuser sets to make sure that Sandi's house and workplace smell amazing! And Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses goodies also doubled as delicious gifts (that you can eat!) for Sandi's cute little family. We hope the girls remember that Santa has little elf spies everywhere so that they are behaving in a plight to get more little goodies! Have a wonderful Christmas this year, massive love from our team here at OIP!
